Using fencing pliers, hook one end of the fence tie onto the top or bottom of the chain-link fence, wrap it around the fence post, top rail, or framework, and twist the long end of the tie around the other side of the chain-link fence mesh to finish in a “C” shape.
To determine how many fence ties you need, it’s recommended to use one fence tie every 12-18 inches. For instance, if you have 150 feet of chain-link fence, you will need approximately 100-150 fence ties.
